We bought a house that has weathered vinyl siding, can we just paint over it or will it have to be replaced?

A good vinyl siding cleaner solution is to mix 70% water and 30% white vinegar, it’s great to remove some mold and mildew stains. For something a little stronger mix together 1/3 cup powdered laundry detergent, 2/3 cup powdered household cleaner and one quart of bleach to one gallon of water.
If you don’t want to damage any nearby plants use oxygen bleach and water, at about a 1 cup bleach to 1 gallon water ratio, or use a non toxic commercial cleaner like Simple Green.
